Frequently Asked Questions
- What is your mission statement?
- "The White Tower Gaming Convention was established to be a place for gamers or people who might become gamers could come and play together. We welcome everyone who wants to game or learn how to game. White Tower is sponsored by Boy Scout Explorer Post 2222 as part of its mission to provide safe, fun, and drug free activities for the youth and teens of the Ohio Valley. We also try to provide an atmosphere for gamers to meet and share ideas with each other.”

- That depends on what game you’re playing. For example, if you are playing Magic: The Gathering, you need to have your own deck. If you are unsure what you need to play, please contact us or sign up for the forums and ask.

- This is heavily influenced by the staff. We can only run an event if someone on staff is knowledgeable with the game play. Also, from time to time, we have representatives from various companies contact us to run demo games.
- May I request a certain game or event be run?
- Yes, within reason. Although we try to honor all requests, we can not guarantee your request will be fulfilled due to the availability of knowledgeable staff about the game. Furthermore, some games may require the participants to provide their own materials such as rule books and miniatures in order to play.
Request should be submitted to the convention director at least five weeks prior to games days/ conventions so that accommodations may be made.
- I would like to run a game at your gamesday or convention. How would I go about doing this?
- You would need to speak with our convention director and demonstrate game knowledge and competence.
